I had so much fun on Saturday, teaching a seminar on church history at Cornerstone Free Methodist Church. From 9am to 1pm, I told stories about the men and women who lived their faith (or didn't quite, or didn't AT ALL!) during the last 2000 years. We talked about popes and peasants, monks and martyrs, and the way the Holy Spirit keeps renewing the church, bringing us back to the holiness we are called to.

Next Sunday (August 22nd) I will be preaching at New Hope Church in Canton, MI. I will be focusing on the history of the Free Methodist church this time - and the way the lives of John Wesley, B. T. Roberts, and William Kendall call us back to God's transforming work, His mission in the world, and His desire to use us today. See you there, 10:30am, for "Looking Back, Moving Forward."
